Excellent Shopping

Being in a waterfront property in Miami Beach, might not be enough for some folks, you'll have to spend some time shopping in Miami!

Miami Beach has many top shopping spots

Here is a short list of the many places you can go. A review of what kind of venue is included. Many of the chosen spots are more than just shopping, but are a destination and a fun place for a 1/2 or full day outing.

1. Lincoln Road. Full of stores, boutiques, art galleries and museums. It is a unique atmosphere, where you can people watch, sit an outdoor cafe, go to a movie or just stroll and window shop.

2. Bal Harbour Shops ( once you get there, you can walk the mall). Ooh la la...If you want high class shopping this is the place to go. Neiman Marcus, Prada, Saks Fifth Avenue, bring money. 9700 Collins Avenue, Bal Harbour, FL. 305-866-0311

3. Bayside Marketplace. This is on Biscayne Bay, on the Miami side. Very close to Downtown Miami and the new cultural center - Carnival Center - It is located right on the water. There is a marina, boat tours, many fun & exotic restaurants and shops. A very nice park-like mall. 401 Biscayne Blvd. Miami, Fl. 305-577-3344.

4. Aventura Mall. North Miami Beach. Need a car to do this mall. Bloomingdale's, Lord & Tailor, Sears, Penny's, plus 250 other specialty shops. And Adventurer's Cove for the kids. 19501 Biscayne Blvd., Aventura, FL. 305-935-1110

5. Sawgrass Mills. Need a car, as it is located in Broward County, 30 minutes north of Miami. Can be combined with a visit to Ft. Lauderdale. This mall is famous for it's factory outlets. Also dining opportunities.

6. Miracle Mile. Located in Coral Gables, which is worth a tour, to see all the old trees, Spanish-like houses in this one of the most famous Miami neighborhoods. Need a car. This shopping area is one of Miami's toniest shopping locations. Many nice & gourmet restaurants to explore.

7. Coco Walk. In the heart of Coconut Grove, a beautiful outdoor shopping complex. This is one of Miami's charming areas, very laid-back and full of restaurants, cafes and bars. Visit Bayside Market place, where you can do a boat tour of Biscayne Bay and then take a trolley tour from Bayside to historical Coconut Grove.
