Art Deco Walk

Walk by the Beach off Collins Avenue

A great walk is to start at Lincoln Road and Collins Ave

Check out the lobby of the Ritz Plaza or the Loews Miami Beach Hotel ( fantastic illumination at night), then walk East towards the beach. There is a nice boardwalk behind the restored Art Deco hotels and the beach. Peek into the pools of the famous Art Deco hotels like: The Raleigh ( the most famous one), Shelborne Hotel, Surfcomber Hotel, etc. then walk back on Collins Avenue. You can go into the hotel loby's for a drink, a snack or just look. Another outing is walk the lenght of Ocean Drive ( from 15th to 5th), this is "the" art deco drive. Hotels facing Lummus Park, with palms, coconut trees and a very wide sand-beach area, as well as benches and a swirling walkpath. It is magical at sundow or nightime. There are lots of outdoor places - all hotels have sidewalk tables - to drink, eat and people watch. This walk is a must in Miami Beach! Enjoy.
